At December 27, 2021, from Vostochny Cosmodrome spaceport was launched dummy satellite named “Persei” – 20 ton piece of reinforced concrete, planned to act as payload imitation device for “Angara” launch vehicle.

Persei planned to reach GSO… But as always during test launches something happened… And heavy solid chunk of concrete left on vLEO, threatening to fall somewhere, maybe in inhabited area.

Using GMAT, I calculated probable date and position of its fall. Following my calculations, Persei would reentry (descend below Karman line, altitude of 100 km) in approx 06:00 UTC, January 5, 2022, in an area with coordinates approx. N 20° W 140°

Here is graphics of descend and coordinates of Presei at its final turns (X coord is time from TLE gathered 29.12.2021).

Practice showed that my calculations were correct.
